Cyber Sunday Recap

1. Finlay vs. Rey Mysterio (Stretcher Match)
This was a fun match, that if given at least 5 more minutes, could have been great. They did a great job with the time given and this was a great choice for the opener. Rey Mysterio gets the victory.

Unofficial Rating: 3.5 (out of 5)

2. CM Punk vs. Miz
This was a surprise, as I expected him to get 10% or less. I guess WWE fans are trying harder not to be predictable. This was a solid match and a feud between these two could possibly better than most expect. Punk retains his title.

Unofficial Rating: 2.75 (out of 5)

3. Mr. Kennedy vs. Jeff Hardy
This was by far the worst of their small series of matches. Kennedy still seems a bit rusty or something. This was definitely not a bad match, just disappointing. Mr. Kennedy gets the victory, setting up a title match somewhere down the road.

Unofficial Rating: 2 (out of 5)

4. MVP vs. Kane
This was the only let down of the night. I've been dying to see a Hardy/MVP rematch, but for whatever reason this feud is jinxed. Despite all the setbacks, it still is without a doubt my favorite feud of the year. MVP wins by countout. Bad ending, but an expected one considering the circumstances.

Unofficial Rating: .75 (out of 5)

5. Randy Orton vs. Shawn Michaels
Very surprising that this was the 5th match. Match had a lot of good moments, but Orton resorted to his usual rest holds (big surprise) and it had a bad ending. This was still a very good match. Michaels wins by DQ.

Unofficial Rating: 3.5 (out of 5)

6. Umaga vs. Triple H (Street Fight)
I think the fans picked the right stipulation for this match. This was an entertaining match even if it was predictable. Triple H wins after hitting Umaga with the sledgehammer.

Unofficial Rating: 3 (out of 5)

7. Batista vs. Undertaker
Stone Cold Steve Austin played no part in this match, except getting a big pop and beating up Foley and JBL. These two picked up where they left off and had another very good match. I could be wrong, but this may be my favorite of their four matches this year.

Unofficial Rating: 3.75 (out of 5)

This was a very good show and boy did the WWE need one. After a bunch of disappointing shows, this one was very solid all the way through. I'd like to think this would have been even better had Matt Hardy not gotten hurt. Definitely a top 5 show for this year.

Overall Rating: 3.75 (out of 5)
