5 Things That Rocked August
1. Fantasy Football
It's true, it's true. Fantasy football drafts all over the country began in August, signaling that the NFL season is indeed here. While I am not overly happy with my team in my one league, they are a bunch of scrappy guys who I think will respond well to my style of coaching.
2. Good Movies...In August?
In the usually lame month of August (although this trend seems to be coming to an end), I saw two movies that were worthy of 4 stars (or higher) reviews. Both the Bourne Ultimatum and Superbad were fantastic films that are very worthy of the praise they have been receiving. I highly recommend them both.
3. SummerSlam
While SummerSlam was not one for the ages, it is still one thing that I greatly look forward to every year. John Cena and Randy Orton stole the show with one of the best main events in the shows history and a rowdy crowd at Buffalo Wild Wings made for an entertaining evening.
4. Cleveland Rocks/Preseason Football
Preseason football kicked off in the month of August and I was fortunate enough to go to three of the Lions four games. Even though the Cleveland fans were not very welcoming, my good friend Mike "Frosty" Forster was. Thanks to Mike for letting me crash at his place and for missing the exit we needed to get off at.
5. Collective Soul
Even though I'll probably buy every album that Collective Soul puts out, I no longer am expecting much from the band. Boy was I wrong. Even though the music lacks the personality of previous releases (Dosage mostly), Ed Roland relies on his sugary sweet melodies to make Afterwords a winner.

Any time, B Tiddy. I went to an Indians-Tigers game, and they were almost as bad. No one yelled expletives at me, but they started "Detroit sucks" chants over and over again.
