NFL Power Rankings - Week 2

I typically don't do this until after the first bye week, but since there technically was a bye week, I guess I'm starting early.

1. New York Giants
Until the Super Bowl team is beaten, they remain number one. The Giants have looked mighty good thus far.

2. Dallas Cowboys
I have to admit that I am not on the Cowboys bandwagon and do not think they will make the Super Bowl this season.

3. New England Patriots
This team is finding ways to win, but it will be interesting come crunch time how they react.

4. Pittsburgh Steelers
This was my darkhorse to win the AFC (if picking Jacksonville as my champion wasn't a big enough darkhorse pick) and they are playing good football. Ben's injury is a big concern, however.

5. Philadelphia Eagles
They really should have won that game on Monday. I'm sure they'll play them better come the end of the season.

6. Carolina Panthers
I really liked this team coming into the year and can't wait to see how they perform with Steve Smith back in the lineup.

7. Green Bay Packers
They are picking up where they left off last season, except at some point Ryan Grant needs to get going before they become predictable.

8. Buffalo Bills
I still can't get over the Lions not taking Trent Edwards. I like this team a lot.

9. Tennessee Titans
This defense is unbelievable, but we'll see how far they can get with Kerry Collins at quarterback.

10. Denver Broncos
The offense is on fire, but their defense is going to be exposed more and more as the season rolls on.

11. Arizona Cardinals
They are playing good football right now and are in the weakest division in football. This could finally be the year they make the playoffs again.

12. Chicago Bears
Losing to the Panthers in Carolina by a few points is no big deal. They are playing much better than I gave them credit for, but their offense still stinks.

13. New Orleans Saints
We'll see how they respond to that loss in Washington. They're going to miss Colston.

14. Indianapolis Colts
Yes, they ended up beating the Vikings, but it sure wasn't pretty. They just don't have that swagger so far this year. I'm betting that they'll find it soon.

15. New York Jets
This team wasn't quite ready to become the kings of the AFC East.

16. San Diego Chargers
This team is about 10 seconds away from being 2-0.

17. Tampa Bay Bucs
We'll see what Brian Griese can do in the next few weeks.

18. Washington Redskins
This team finally showed some offensive spark. We'll see if it lasts against the Cards this week.

19. Jacksonville Jaguars
This was my Super Bowl pick and that pick is not looking good thanks to some crucial injuries on the offensive line.

20. San Francisco 49ers
This team will not continue to win with JT at QB.

21. Seattle Seahawks
We all know this team is better than this. You can't help but feel sorry for them.

22. Cleveland Browns
The offense needs to wake up and fast.

23. Minnesota Vikings
I was not high on this team like everyone else coming into the year. Now that Jackson is no longer the QB, they may have a shot. I have said it before and I'll continue to say it, he is a terrible quarterback.

24. Houston Texans
I still like what this team has to offer, but 15 straight games will come back to haunt them.

25. Baltimore Ravens
This team will win a few games, but the offense is still not very good.

26. Atlanta Falcons
After the Lions made them look like an all star team, they came back to reality against the Bucs.

27. Oakland Raiders
McFadden looked good, but it was the Chiefs.

28. Cincinnati Bengals
You have to think that Palmer and the offense will start to play better. They did play two good defenses.

29. Detroit Lions
They played better for about 25 minutes. Then it was back to finding new ways of losing.

30. Kansas City Chiefs
Their quarterback situation is just ugly.

31. Miami Dolphins
They'll get better later on.

32. St. Louis Rams
It still amazes me how bad this team is with the talent they have.
